Are you a startup in Sweden, Denmark or Finland looking to expand in Asia? Join the #Nordicmade to Hong Kong tour to expand your growing business and develop new partnerships!

#Nordicmade to Hong Kong is funded by the Rising North Fund whose funding comes from the Nordic Council of Ministers. The project aims to identify Nordic startups that are ready to grow their network and business in the Asian market. During a week in Hong Kong and Shenzhen, you will visit some of the world’s leading startup hubs and companies. You will get introduced to investors, business accelerators and Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks. A total of 12 companies will be selected to join the tour.

The #Nordicmade to Hong Kong tour is open for startups in Sweden, Denmark and Finland that are interested in exploring the dynamic business environment in Hong Kong and Shenzhen. The tour will help expand your network and business to China and give opportunities to develop new partnerships that can drive your business further in the world’s changing and competitive climate. You will experience and understand how to succeed in Asia – driving new consumer behaviors, creating innovation and new revenue models.

The tour will take you to Hong Kong and Shenzhen between 2–8 December, 2018. You will spend 4 days in Hong Kong visiting R&D centers, startup hubs, incubators and investor networks as well as successful Nordic companies in the region. At the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks you will get introduced to their launch pad program and have business matching sessions. We will spend one full day in Shenzhen, known as Mainland China’s own Silicon Valley, visiting leading tech companies, incubators and Shenzhen’s famous electronics market.

What does the program cover?

All selected companies will have their round-trip airfare from either Stockholm, Copenhagen or Helsinki to Hong Kong covered by the program. Transportation as well as most meals and event costs part of the program will also be covered. We will cover these costs for one person per startup. If you wish to attend with more than one participant, you will have to pay for the additional participants airfare and meals. But they are welcome to join us in all program activities.

What is not covered by the program?

The only thing not covered by the program is the hotel accommodation. Participants have to book their own hotel. However, our partner hotel ICON in Hong Kong has kindly offered us a to let all participants stay at their hotel between 3–7 December (4 nights) for 8000 HKD. A special booking link will be provided to the 12 selected startups. Any arrangements made outside the official program are not covered.

The program is preliminary and is subject to changes. The flight home with SAS can be re-scheduled to another day at your own expense.
